Inmate.us is committed to making our content accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Many of the people who use our resources access them from prison library computers or public library terminals with limited technology — we design with that in mind.
What we do
- Semantic HTML structure for screen readers
- Sufficient color contrast ratios (WCAG 2.2 AA)
- Keyboard-navigable interactive elements
- Readable font sizes (minimum 14px body text)
- Printable guide pages for offline use
- No autoplay video or audio
- Respects prefers-reduced-motion settings
Known limitations
Some interactive tools (FSA Calculator, Facility Finder) require JavaScript. Core content is accessible without JavaScript.
