About

Built by people who lived it

Inmate.us exists because when we were navigating the federal prison system, the information we needed didn't exist in one place. The BOP's website is bureaucratic. Legal resources assume you have an attorney. Most consulting sites are trying to sell you something expensive.

We built this to be the resource we wish we'd had — free, practical, plain English, grounded in real experience.
